Information handled by this site

You can read articles without an account. If you register, the site stores your email, a bcrypt password hash, and any profile details you provide. Saved articles are associated with your account. Contact forms store your name, email and message in the site's database. Do not submit passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.

Servers may log IP addresses, request times, URLs, status codes, referring pages and browser identifiers for operating and securing the service. Article likes are stored as counters. The site does not currently provide third-party behavioural analytics.

Browser storage and calculators

A sign-in token is kept in browser local storage. A separate local-storage entry remembers dismissal of the storage notice. Clear site data or sign out to remove the sign-in token. Calculator inputs remain in the page's browser memory and are not submitted to the site or a payment service.

The two-offer comparator and evidence notebook use only this page's memory, without uploading entries or automatically storing them in local storage. Reloading or leaving removes those entries. If you copy a note into another application, that application's practices apply. Do not place personal or payment information in the notebook.

Purpose and access

Account information supports sign-in and saved articles. Contact details support handling your enquiry. Operational logs support troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Data is held on the site's hosting infrastructure; the operator and infrastructure providers may have access as needed to operate the service. Information may also be disclosed when legally required.

Advertising and external links

Third-party ad delivery and tracking scripts are currently disabled. AdSense ownership-verification metadata and ads.txt do not themselves load advertising scripts. If advertising is activated, this policy and the site's consent mechanism must be updated first. Links to other sites lead to services with their own data practices.

Retention and requests

The current service has no verified automatic deletion schedule for accounts, contact messages or all log files. Data may remain until the operator removes it. We do not promise a 90-day or 12-month deletion process that is not implemented.

You can change available profile details and remove saved articles in your account. For access, correction or deletion requests, use Contact. The operator may need to verify identity before acting. There is no self-service account-deletion endpoint or guaranteed response interval at present.

Security and changes

The site uses HTTPS and hashed passwords, but no system can guarantee absolute security. It is not intended to solicit children's personal information. Report accidental submissions through Contact. Material changes to these practices will be reflected here before new tracking or advertising is enabled.
